  • Meet My Cat

    Amy Middlebrook

Paperback (Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency, LLC, July 14, 2011)
Ten-year-old author Amy Middlebrook has wanted to be a writer since she was five years old. In her newest book, Meet My Cat, she shares with others just how special her cat Smudge is to the family. Smudge first came to live with Amy to help her through a difficult time when her Mummy was diagnosed with a serious illness. When Smudge arrived, he not only helped Amy, but ended up helping the whole family cope, which is what makes him such a special cat! Amy loves animals, and has a rescue dog and two other rescue cats as well as Smudge. She sponsors three different animals through the WWF, an animal park and Dog's Trust. Meet My Cat reflects her great love of animals. This young author hopes that her books will inspire other children to read. Amy's first published book was Amy's Moon. She is now writing the sequel, Amy's Sun. Writing is a good escape for Amy Middlebrook because sometimes it's hard for her to verbally communicate. Amy has a hearing dysfunction and finds that writing helps her make sense of the world. She lives in the UK and has written several other stories about her dogs and cats. One day Amy would like to set up her own animal rescue centre. She believes that with a good imagination, you can do anything. Publisher's website: http://sbpra.com/AmyMiddlebrook
